Bike Bus delivers your bike direct to your gite, hotel, or campsite in the Perigord Noir, Dordogne, France. Daily departures from Sarlat, Domme, Beynac, Montignac, or Castelnaud. At MultiTravel we pride ourselves on the quality of our bikes and accessories, boasting the best bikes in the Dordogne. We strive to provide everything you need for your active day out, for example : Helmets, puncture repair kit, pump, bike lock, route cards and maps, and panniers for your packed lunch.
***NEW*** Every customer in 2008 will receive a free Bike Bus water bottle to keep.
And whilst all our bikes are equiped with puncture resistant inner tubes, breakdown assistance is included in the cost, should you need it (upto 30km from Hub#1).
We can deliver your bike to your door and then collect it at the end of your stay, or we could deliver to one point and then pick the bikes up from the same or a different place when you've completed your tour.
We can find suitable routes for you follow and suggest places to visit in the area, so no matter what sort of cycling you are used to, be it on or off road, we will try to find a route that will try to satisfy your wants.

Had a really good holiday and really enjoyed the couple of days out on one of your bikes. Whilst the Tour de France day was over in a flash, I enjoyed all the build up and the atmosphere. My second day out I rode to Beynac on my own. Cycling is really enjoyable out here and car drivers seem more considerate than in the UK. The GT bike felt really solid, and I felt confident with it straight away, a good choice.

ZOOM Our GT Mountain Bikes, beautiful blue, are all new stock for 2005. They have blockable front forks with a responsive and light aluminium triple triangle frame, ready to grapple the rough stuff out in the sticks of the Dordogne. All are equipped with mechanical disk brakes giving you cleaner stopping power in all conditions, and the 24-gears enable you to cope with the maddest of hill climbs or just simply the right gear at the right time. They all come equipped with a comfy gel saddle, a bottle cage, and two knobbly tires.

ZOOM Tandems? Yes, Tandems. Not ridden one before. Where have you been? Tandems are probably the most fun two people can have together on two wheels. It takes very little time (minutes) to get the hang of it, then you can reap the rewards by skiving off at the back to gaze at the rather pleasant countryside, commenting dreamily that "perhaps we could stop and have a bite to eat now", while at the front with all the brakes, all the gears and the map, the control is securely monopolised, fingertip precision minces the hills, and the chateaux just keep on coming.
The unique aluminium frame design gives a low stand over height on the rear so that almost any size of rider can be accommodated. With an adult at the front, the one at the back (stoker) can be anything from 7yrs to a tall adult. (We also now have an adult/adult frame: not shown)
Each bike comes equipped with a rear rack for panniers, bottle cages, 24-gears, suspension forks and a suspension seat post at the rear.

ZOOM The Kids section is one that I'm particularly proud of. Childrenlove to look good on a bike. If it's not the colour, it's the style. If it's not the ease at which they over-take mummy and daddy, it's the instant innate knowledge of how the gearing works and the gift of these perceptions to said loving parents.

They'll not be disappointed.

All our kiddi bikes are made by BH, the top spanish manufacturers. They are all red and black (except for the one in the picture) and have V-brakes front and rear.
For the 9 to 7 year olds gearing is shimano 21-speed and the forks go boing too.
For the 7 to 5 year olds we have the 6-speed machines with boingy forks.
For the 5 to 3 year olds we have single-speed bikes with or without stablisers.

Tag-along Our Tag-alongs are for those as yet unready to branch out on their own, and fit onto any of our adult bikes. They are suitable for children up to the age of 6 or 7 depending on their weight allowing the familly to cover larger distances than would be possible if this child was on a separate bike.

Child Seat Our Child seats are the sort that fit behind the bike seat and are suitable for children up to the age of 3 depending on their weight. There is a body harness and straps for the feet.

Picture not yet available Our Baby Carriers can take 1 or 2 babies, a bag of nibbles and their toy elephant. The structure is light and has 5 point harnesses for each child so that they are securely attached. There aren't any harnesses however for the toy elephant.
